Photovoltaic Service
Availability
Available for pasture well services where the Cooperative has installed a photovoltaic service and where the Cooperative retains ownership of the photovoltaic power equipment.
Type of Service
Photovoltaic power, an alternative to conventional power.
Rate
The monthly rate will be one of the following (whichever is greater).
- Monthly Facility Charge of Schedule S/Limited Use Single Phase Secondary Service.
- Cost of equipment owned by KEM plus 2%, plus actual costs of installation including labor, overhead, materials and mileage divided by 10 years (120 months).
If additional equipment (such as a tracker) is needed to increase the capacity of the unit because of the applicant's load, rental charges for added equipment will be added to the monthly rate. The additional equipment costs will be added to the monthly rate based on equipment costs divided by 120 months.
Penalty
Failure to repair the photovoltaic protection or report problems with KEM's equipment by the member may result in a penalty based on the actual cost of repair or termination of the contract for photovoltaic service.
Terms of Payment
The above rates are net. A late payment penalty of 1 3/4% per month will be added to any unpaid balance.
