For your budgeting convenience, we are pleased to offer a budget payment option for members with residential/general services. Much like North Dakota’s weather, your electric bills may fluctuate from one month to the next.
KEM Electric’s budget billing is determined by averaging the previous 12 months’ history. It’s a rolling average and typically only varies by a few dollars from month to month. By using a rolling average, we do not have to periodically “settle up” by adjusting your payment amount.
Members who wish to participate in this plan must have their account current (paid in full) and have at least one year’s history with KEM Electric. Members failing to submit payment by due date will be dropped from the plan without notification and the account balance will be subject to payment in full. Members who wish to discontinue the plan will be required to notify the Cooperative office either with a phone call or by written notice.
